Keeping Colorado Beautiful.

Colorado has experienced several catastrophic wildfires in the past 10 years. The mountain pine beetle has killed and will kill hundreds of acres of Lodgepole and Ponderosa Pine trees in our forests.  Tree loss raises the risk of soil erosion and the possibility of negative impact on the health of water ways near fire and beetle damaged areas.  We can get people back to work, reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires, and improve the health of our forests by thinning. We can turn the wood product into biofuel to heat our homes and public buildings. These actions will reduce our carbon footprint, limit our dependence on foreign oil, and protect our water sheds.
